Training at WMC Lamai, Koh Samui, Thailand

I feel it's important and interesting for you to know our 'Malaysian Tigers' training routine in Samui. Being here in Malaysia, I can't help but feel that these guys have a perfect set-up: idyllic island, no worries in the world(except training), good and healthy food, no financial worries....etc......etc...

First let me point out......the training is tough.........really tough. Team Tigers have to wake up an hour before everyone else(jogging starts at 6am) so as they get in an hour earlier so they can train extra with their trainers, whom may I add are at the very least ex-Lumpinee Champions.

Then I got a reality check.......I was flown out to Samui and the truth of it all hit me. On the first day, I was asking the guys, "Hey why aren't you out at the beach(which is only a stones throw away").Bernard Radin looks at me and says "Just check out our training routine, any free time we have, we need to rest and recover, no time for the beach". And now I realise just how tough it all is. Hey even the 7km run would floor me, neither less doing it twice a day. And Dzabar punching me in the head........well I'll update you on that one soon.

Morning Routine
6am-7km run
7am-Stretching and shadow boxing
7.30am Light Sparring
8am-Pad work with trainers
8.30 am-Sit-ups & stretches

Evening Routine
4pm-7km run
5pm-Stretching and shadow boxing
5.30pm Light Sparring
6pm-Pad work with trainers
6.30pm-Clencing
7pm-Conditioning, sit-ups,push-ups etc....

Dear tomyamgong,

According to the Oxford dictionary to clench(and I wrote clenching not chencing) means to close tightly(teeth or fingers; grasp firmly (e) of boxers, come to close quarters for full-arm blow.
And referring to your word clinch it says refer to clench.
Thank you for the input,I'm sure I have made spelling mistakes(and I'm sure you will give me your two cents worth) but please do your research before your try to correct me.

Adakah tertulis 7 jam sehari? Pagi 3 jam. Mungkin kalau jogging laju jogging habis dalam 30min, dari 6am sampai 6.30am. Kemudian sambung balik 7am sampai 9 am. Jadi pagi 2.30-3jam.
Petang jogging bermula pukul 4pm. Training bermula 5pm hingga 7.30pm, 3jam lebih.
Jadi training antara 5.30-6.30 jam.
Kalau anda tak percaya terpulanglah!

Dear tomyamgong or this time tomyanggong(spelling error? :)

You must be a fighter as you never admit defeat,i respect that :). I don't use clinch as people usually use the term in business. As in to 'clinch a deal'.
Thanks for your corrections, it takes me back to my debating days, what fun.
I'll have to be extra careful now, huh, or you'll be breathing down my neck :)

Haha, easy buddy, i not come to argue but just come to speak out my opinion. Good blogger always take positif comment right?back to my school day i like to debat too.By the way, its been a long time since we last teh tarik Mr. Bernard.

Something is not right with this blog.. Kenapa tiba2 ada evening routine bawah tajuk kings cup. Mana pergi fight ali etc

also, it is padwork not packwork. Unless any of you want to say you let your boxer pack up a bag and train(weight training).

Osysnet said...

Duly noted.Packwork has been changed to padwork.
Weight training, that's a good idea, maybe they can jog with weight packs on their backs :)
but I think they have a tough enough load as it is.
Thanks.

Mana fight MD ALI

Anonymous said...

I have a question on Md Ali.
Firstly, the boxxtomoi website indicated that he lost a fight last year. But his career record in this website says 0 losses.
Second, is he still with boxx warriors gym, Kulim or he is now fighting out of muaythaitigers, Samui. Kindly enlighten. Thx.
