IFMA Executive Board Meeting


On the 13th of February 2009, the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur or IFMA, held its Bi-annual Executive Board Meeting. This meeting was officially opened by IFMA Honorary lifetime member and President, His Excellency Privy Councilor to His Majesty the King of Thailand, General Pitchitr Kullavanijaya.


The IFMA Executive Board along with our representative were invited to Parliament House by His Excellency Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva. Here they were welcomed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Sports, Sanan Kajornprasrt who thanked everyone for their tireless efforts in developing Muaythai worldwide.


Among the important points discussed by the IFMA Executive Board were the qualification criteria for the 2010 GAISF Martial Arts and Combat Games and also the implementation of Muay Khan Grading program, which will be the official ranking and testing program for muaythai sanctioned by IFMA.

In the picture the chinese/korea guy is a 9thDAN in Judo and the president of judo korea. Why is he with the Muaythai delegates?

The President of Judo Korea is the President of Muaythai Korea. Same goes to Turkey and lot more countries. The President of Taekwondo is the President of Muaythai too..
