Ismail Ramli Wins

Our youngest Tiger proves himself!!!

Ismail Ramli or better known as Mail won his first Thai fight against Collin from USA at Chaweng Stadium last night. Collin had a fight record of 9 Wins and 0 losses. Mail the smaller and lighter of the 2 was calm and composed. Kicking Collin high with his left leg, kicking low with his right and skillfully blocking attacks by Collin. The match lasted the designated 5 rounds with Mail winning by points. According to Mail's trainers and team mates, Mail was the clear winner.

Ismail 'Thunder Fist' Ramli
54kg

Fight record:
Fights 16, Wins 13, Draws 3, Losses 0

Mail is always teased by his team mates as he had yet to fight as a Malaysian Tiger. Now our Thunder Fist has earned his stripes.

Baru sekarang kami nampak belangnya :)

This victory also comes as an early birthday present as Mail turns 18 on the 24th of this month.
Happy Birthday Mail!

Selamat harijadi Mail!

I just saw the Hamdan-Pokku fight.
Hamdan was clearly outclassed, in every department. Kicking, Punching, blocking, Stamina, techniques...Pokku was far superior. Hamdan's kicks couldn't even kill an ant. There's no power behind them.

However in terms of looks, Hamdan was obviously way above. He is the poster-boy of Malaysian Tigers.

He has a fighter's heart. No doubt about that.
I've seen some 'fighters' surrendering due to 'kaki sakit' !!

I'm glad Hamdan's Ok.
Ok...my point is...select suitable opponents for your fighters.
In every martial art competition, that's how it is.
I worry that they may have serious injuries one day, if we continue subjecting them to far superior opponents. We need to accept each fighter's individual limitations.

Our Malaysian fighters go all out in their fights with little or no regards for their safety hence incurring injuries easily unlike their Thai counterparts who usually requested to take into consideration, crowd pleasing and betting ( gambling bets )

We do have a long way to go... but we will get there.. Malaysia Boleh! Go Tigers!

Tengku Shahrizal works for the police. Therefore he won't be able to train in Samui full time.Don't worry, I doubt that he will be side tracked for the major games. However if you read my post about the IFMA World Championship you will note that the fight style is quite different from pro Muaythai.

But to be a Malaysian Tiger, these guys have had to make sacrifices, they have to train far away from home etc.Away from their families.

Most of these guys have only been in Samui for over 2 months but they have improved so much.
